LG Solar
LG Solar developed its first portable solar cell technology ‘The Solar Lantern’ in 1988 under the company name Lucky-GoldStar. They rebranded to LG (Life is Good) in 1995 and proceeded to design solar systems for traffic lights and clock towers. In 2009 LG created its first solar panel and has gone on to win the Intersolar Award in 2013, 2015 & 2016 for its innovations. It also won the Readers Digest Australia Most Trusted Solar Panel Award 2020 after a survey of 3000 readers.
LG Solar produces high quality solar panels and are part of the giant South Korean company LG. In 2017 they produced around 2 gigawatts of panels. In Australia, LG modules although more expensive than the competition, are very popular and it’s not hard to see why. LG panels are highly rated by customers and solar installers alike as they not only look impressive with the black anodised aluminium frames but the construction quality, detail and finish are of the highest standard.
LG NeON 2
LG NeON panels come in the LG NeON 2, and the LG NeON 2 Black. LG NeOn 2 panels can have an efficiency of up to 19.3% which can make them very useful for making good use of a limited amount of roof space. The LG NeON 2 Black has slightly lower efficiency but provides the black look that some people prefer. All the panels are salt mist and ammonia corrosion resistant and so are suitable for installation anywhere in Australia.
