The journey into solar can be both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. The amount of solar companies flooding the market with too good to be true offers, special low rates and high pressure sales people makes it hard to know who to trust. The following 4 quick solar tips will help your journey into solar run much smoother and take away some of the stresses.

Be informed

Do your research. While good solar consultants will walk you through the process and explain the different system options available, there are many that will sign you up quickly and push you into a specific system that might not be right for you. It is always a good idea to understand as much as you can about your electricity consumption and the system sizes that will best suit your usage. Not only does this make it easier to work out the bad companies from the good but it also allows you to ask more informed questions. The more information you can pass on to your solar consultant the better. More information means your system will be better suited to your needs. Understanding the feed in tariffs available with your electricity provider is also good to know. The government run Energy Made Easy website is a handy tool to understand your options.

Our experienced consultants work with our customers to develop a solar solution that meets their needs. This involves a full energy audit and thorough site inspection.

Make sure after sales service is included

Time after time we hear from people who have had a solar system installed only to find out that when they need support the company no longer exists. If an issue does happen to arise with your system you want to make sure the company not only offers after sales service but has a good track record and is likely to be in operation when you need them.

Stralis Energy has been in operation since 2014 and offers a wide range of electrical services. We will be here when you need us and we pride ourselves on our top quality after sales service.

Make sure the company offers a range of solar panel, inverter and mounting brands

You want to make sure that the company you use to install your solar system offers more than 1 product or brand. In order to design a system that suits your needs multiple options need to be available. Many quick dollar sales companies buy cheap solar panels and inverters in bulk and push these on to every customer. There is no way for a company to provide you with a customised solar system if they only provide one option. You wouldn’t buy a TV from a store that only stocks one type so why would you do this with solar?

Stralis Energy offers a wide range of quality brands. We only use brands with offices based in Australia. Our solar panel, inverter and mounting brands are all high performance with quality warranties. Offering different options means we can design a system to meet your budget, visual preference and performance needs.

Have realistic price expectations

With so many prices being thrown around in the solar advertising world it can be easy to think that a quality solar system will cost you between $2,500 to $3,500. That is not correct. For a system to be installed for this price there are far to many corners that would need to be cut. A realistic price for a quality 6.6kw solar system is between $5,000 and $7,000. However when you consider the savings you will make on your electricity bills over the systems life cycle it is a small price to pay.
